Having successfully competed in the UK regional and national rounds in a series of robotic challenges the school scooped the Teamwork Champion and Design Award, which means Technogear have automatically qualified for the World Championships in Louisville, Kentucky later this month.
Technogear also picked up the Create Award, given to a robot with a creative engineering solution. The award is given to a team with a unique robot design that demonstrates creativity and has an effective design process.
Michael Noonan, Head of Technology at the school said: “This has been an incredible experience and to know that our teams hard work and effort has been rewarded is magnificent. They are the engineers of tomorrow and they’re feeling confident about giving it their all in the VEX Robotics World Championships alongside the top young robotic minds on the planet”.
Crest Solutions appreciates the ingenuity of these students and is proud to play a role in the development of their engineering skills.
Well done guys! We look forward to hearing the results.
